Pippa Goodhart is the author of Slow Magic (Flying Foxes 2002). She began writing when her children were born, and her first novel, Flow (Mammoth), was published in 1994. She has worked as a primary school teacher and manager of Heffers Children's Bookshop. She is the author of numerous picture books, early readers, and novels. Katherine Lodge studied printmaking in New York but while there was inspired to follow her mother's career - illustrating children's books. Katherine returned to London and completed an MA in Illustration at the RCA. She has written and illustrated several books, including The Clever Cowboy (Dorling Kindersley), Shoe Shoe Baby (Gullane) and Eugene the Plane Spotter (Bloomsbury) and worked extensively as a book designer. This is Katherine's first book for Random House.
