Opening in April 1941, when Britain expected invasion, Past Remembering follows the life of a community at war and love. Ronnie Ronconi returns injured from a spell with the resistance, blaming himself for his wife's death. Haydn Powell brings his family from the Blitz, while he tours with ENSA. His sister-in-law Jenny, now widowed, attracts gossip by consorting with a conscript but is soon linked with Ronnie, and he also with old flame Alma Rachenko, whose husband is missing, presumed dead. Catrin Collier was born and brought up in Pontypridd. She worked for a while in Europe and America before returning to her native Wales. She now lives on the Gower peninsula, near Swansea, with her family.
