BOB STAAKE is the author of more than 50 children's books, including My Puppy Book, Bluebird, The Red Lemon, which was named a New York Times Best Illustrated Book in 2006, and The Donut Chef, which was a finalist in the Children's Choice Book Awards. He's also a well-known commercial illustrator whose work has appeared in publications such as the New Yorker, Time, the Washington Post, and the New York Times.
