Peacocks in the Mist by Sandra Episcopo Kendall

One woman, two continents, and three loves over a lifetime.
Sandra Episcopo Kendall was born in Rome of Italian parents. While still a baby, the family moved to India. She was educated in Bombay and Geneva. After school, she was employed by the Italian diplomatic service at the Consulate General in Bombay. In 1960 she moved to Rome and worked in the film business for producer Carlo Ponti, among others. While on a short visit to Bombay she met and married her husband, a Scottish businessman, and ex-Japanese prisoner-of-war. Her two sons were born in Bombay, and the family moved to England in 1968. For twenty-five years she worked at three different Cambridge Colleges, Kings, Corpus Christi and Pembroke. Following her husband's death, she moved to Bristol. She enrolled in two residential Arvon Foundation courses at Lumb Bank where her tutor, the author, David Almond, encouraged her to keep writing. She has travelled widely between India, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, UK, and South Africa. She now lives in the Cotswolds
