The Peppermill by Kathy Viedge
In the 1960s, as everything was changing, 18-year-old Nina arrived in Swinging London. She has abandoned her parents to the crippling silence of their lives. Nina, who believes that courage is a requirement of her soul, is determined to confront her fears. Nina shares a house with Jan, Courtly, Pravin and Sometime (a large toy panda bear). Young and alone, as their lives begin to change and unravel, it is Sometime they turn to for comfort. Drawn in invisible ink by her experiences and the people she meets, Nina steps out of the shadow of her past. This is her story.
