Susan Tranter is Headteacher of Fitzharrys School in Oxfordshire. Susan has a track record of success in change management focused on school improvement. She has acquired this experience having taught at a range of schools including grammar, secondary modern and comprehensive schools. Susan has expertise in leadership development, having practised, researched and delivered at national level. This is her fourth book. Adrian Percival is the National School Improvement Partner Coordinator working as part of the National Strategies team. In this role he has responsibility for the leadership of the SIP programme and for ensuring that DfES policies are effectively put into practice across the country. Prior to this national role Adrian had a career worked in schools for 18 years in a teaching career spanning Staffordshire, Berkshire and Surrey where he was deputy head of France Hill School and Oxfordshire where he was head of Matthew Arnold School in Oxford.
