Author of over 100 books and award-winning presenter of the fifty-year-long BBC TV series The Sky at Night, Patrick is a well-known and much-loved figure, whose work in the fields of astronomy and broadcasting was recognized in 1967 with an OBE, in 1988 with a CBE, and in 2001 with a knighthood. Sir Patrick lives in Selsey, West Sussex.
