Jonathan Brown has worked for many years at the Museum of English Rural Life, where he is now an honorary fellow, after conducting research on the rural history of Lincolnshire at the University of Manchester. He is the author of several publications on rural history, including Eric Guy's Rural World, Farming in Lincolnshire 1850-1945, and Steam on the Farm.
