Pictura: Aurelian by Ian Andrew
Pictura is a stunning range of black-and-white artworks to collect and colour, for ages 9 to 90. In Aurelian, the concertina is filled with a gorgeous array of butterflies and moths, desperate for you to add their colour. The back features a key to their species and a further illustration - 'metamorphosis' - showing the journey a butterfly will take: from caterpillar, to cocoon, to rebirth.
Ian Andrew studied animation at the Royal College and Croydon College of Art, and illustration at Camberwell College of Arts and Crafts. He has worked for clients on animated work and book illustration. In addition to producing artwork for the best-selling Ology series, Ian also illustrated The Boat, by Helen Ward which was shortlisted for the 2005 Kate Greenaway Medal.
