Richard W. (Richard W.) Brown moved to Vermont in 1968 to teach in a tiny rural school before pursuing a photography career. Vermont Life, Harrowsmith Country Life, Audubon, Natural History, The New York Times, Country Journal, and many more publications have featured his work. My Type of Garden, The Private World of Tasha Tudor, Richard Brown's New England, Moments in Eden, and Images from the Country are among the books he penned and photographed. Tasha Tudor's Garden, Garden Whimsy, and The View from the Kingdom were all photographed by him. He resides in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
