Pike Fishing in the UK and Ireland by Steve Rogowski
Pike Fishing is one of the most popular forms of angling. This is not surprising, since pike are the largest freshwater predator fish in the British Isles. This fascinating book takes a geographical approach. It covers several of the most important pike fishing waters in the British Isles.
Steve Rogowski has been an enthuastic pike angler since the early 1990s and has written several articles about piking. Mark Ackerley has been pike fishing for over twenty years. Mark is the features editor of the Pike Anglers' Club magazine Pikelines. Jon Cotton, who died in December 2005, spent all of his life in the south west of England where he fished extensively and was active in the SW area of the Pike Anglers' Club. Dick Culpin has fished for pike for many years and is an active member of the Pike Anglers' Alliance for Scotland as well as the Pike Anglers' Club. Chris Donovan has had many articles published in the angling press and has enjoyed pike fishing since the late 1960s. Neville Fickling needs no introduction, and is regarded by many as being one of the best pike anglers of his generation. Bill Palmer has fished for pike in the south east of England for fifty years and has an enormous knowledge of piking in this area. Chris Turnbull is perhaps best known as an angling and wildlife illustrator, although he has been a pike fisherman for most of his life.
