A Place in the Country by John Brookes Chairman Of The Society Of Garden Designers

John Brookes' design courses, which he taught from his garden in Sussex, England, as well as in the South of France and Japan, and his work with the Royal Botanic Gardens, have aided in the development of a new generation of garden designers. Traditional English gardens, private gardens in the United States and Japan, and the English Walled Garden at the Chicago Botanic Garden are among his many works. Throughout his career, he has received various accolades, including four Gold Medals from the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show, and he is a member of the Order of the British Empire for his contributions to horticulture in the United Kingdom and abroad.
