Play of the Hand in the 21st Century by Audrey Grant
This is the 2nd in the American Contract Bridge League's series of bridge books for beginning and advancing players. Successfully used by students and teachers for over 20 years, this edition has been updated to reflect current standards for playing bridge. This book concentrates on the play of the hand (making a plan, promoting winners, finessing, trumping losers, etc.). The initial bidding concepts are reviewed and Jacoby transfers and slam bidding are introduced.Since she was a child, Audrey Grant has been a voracious reader. Since she began writing down stories at the age of thirteen, she's wanted to create and publish a book. That desire was put on hold as she pursued another, earning a degree in Interior Design at LDS Business College. Her desire of becoming a writer was rekindled in 2009, and she began work on Curse of the Jaguar. Audrey, her husband, four children, and black lab live in northern Utah. She can be seen eating chocolate, doing crafts, Interior Design, making jewelry, or picking up after her two young children when she is not reading or writing.
