The Pocket Atlas of Human Anatomy by Chris Jarmey

The Pocket Atlas of Human Anatomy has been written for the student and early practitioner of anatomy, massage / bodywork, physical therapy, chiropractic, medicine, physiotherapy, sports therapy, or any other health-related field. Containing full-colour illustrations, the book is a compact reference guide, clearly detailing anatomical orientation, tissues, in-depth information on joints, and the physiology of bones and muscles. The two appendices show clearly the major neural pathways (Appendix 1) and composite drawings of the body illustrate the major skeletal muscles (Appendix 2), including the origin, insertion, innervation, and action for each muscle, plus detailed charts of the main muscles involved in movement. The late Chris Jarmey, M.C.S.P., D.S., M.R.S.S., qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1979. He was the author of several best-selling books, including The Concise Book of Muscles also published by Lotus Publishing and North Atlantic Books. Jarmey taught body mechanics, bodywork therapy, and anatomy extensively throughout Europe.
