Pocket Guide to Legal Research, Spiral bound Version by William Putman
The Pocket Guide to Legal Research is designed as a desk reference for use by students and practicing paralegals, legal assistants, and attorneys. This comprehensive guide allows the user to quickly obtain the answer to many commonly encountered research questions concerning case, statutory, secondary authority legal research, and legal citation. It includes chapters on non fee-based and fee-based Internet legal research. A chapter explains an organized approach to the legal research process, providing a detailed discussion of each step and the guidelines to follow when engaging in legal research. Also included are chapters on issue identification, spotting the issue and case law analysis. In addition to a glossary of relevant legal research terms, there are three appendices that cover the components of court opinions, elements of a statute, and a research source chart. This comprehensive and up-to-date resource is designed for quick access to information, and can be easily used in the classroom or on the job with a lay-flat binding. You might also like
