Poddy and Flora by Paula Metcalf
...like jelly and ice cream, like buckets and spades, and like Flora and her dog Poddy. But when Flora goes to visit Gran, Poddy has to stay at home and nothing is much fun. And then Poddy realises it's not just Flora he's missing, but his tail seems to have disappeared too! When will Flora come home, and where on earth is Poddy's tail? An endearing and amusing tale about a little girl and her much-loved dog.
Paula Metcalf is a hugely talented illustrator with a growing reputation. She made up her mind to be an author and illustrator at the tender age of sixteen and later graduated from Anglia Polytechnic University with a First Class Honours degree in illustration and an MA in children’s illustration. Her graceful, beautifully lit artwork is influenced by dance and her love of Eastern European fairy tales. Paula was previously Illustrator-in-Residence at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Buckinghamshire, and runs popular workshops in schools. Her books for Macmillan include My Mummy, Rabbits Don't Lay Eggs and Charlie Crow in the Snow.
