Born in Stratford, East London, Dr. Dave Cook qualified in chemistry by part-time study and spent his career in chemistry research. He incorporates his experience in science, folk-dancing, psychotherapy, working-class London and the ups and downs of life into his version of poetry. He enjoys singing and playing the ukulele.
