Ferber, Michael: - Michael Ferber is Emeritus Professor of English and Humanities at the University of New Hampshire. He is the author or editor of seven books about English and Continental Romanticism, including two about William Blake, as well as A Dictionary of Literary Symbolism (third edition 2017) and Poetry and Language: The Linguistics of Verse (2019), both published by Cambridge University Press. Earning a BA in Greek literature from Swarthmore College in 1966 and a PhD in English literature from Harvard University in 1975, he taught English at Yale University, and then worked as a lobbyist and writer about nuclear disarmament in Washington.
