Polar Bears by Michel Rawicki

Spectacular photographs of the largest carnivore to walk the earth today, following the polar bears across the Arctic, from settlements to forests, pack-ice to tundra.
'The increasing hardship faced by this posterchild of climate change is all too evidentYet this is a glorious and luxurious book, surely one of the finest collections of polar bear photography published in recent times.' -- Paul McGuinness - BBC Wildlife
Michel Rawicki made his first expedition to the Arctic at 43, and has dedicated himself to documenting the changing landscape of the poles ever since. His photography develops an intimate dialogue with his animal subjects, observing their lifelong struggle for survival. Although Rawicki began using a digital camera in 2002, he still works with panoramic film in a 6x17 cm format.
