A fascinating survey of the painting, drawing, sculpture and work in precious stones and metals of two major figures in fifteenth century Renaissance Florence, Antonio and Piero del Pollaiuolo.
Aldo Galli is a contract lecturer at the Universities of Siena and L'Aquila. His interest is mainly in fifteenth-century Italian painting and sculpture and he has contributed a number of articles and essays on this theme to collective publications (such as La bottega dell'artista tra Medioevo e Rinacimento, Milan 1998). He has also helped organise a number of exhibitions, including Masaccio e le origini del Rinascimento (San Giovanni Valdarno 2002) and Duccio (Siena 2003 2004).
