Porsche 911 Story by Paul Frere

Traces in words, photographs and diagrams the evolution of the Porsche 911. The book details the bodies, interiors, engines, transmissions, and suspensions, and lists year-by year changes, together with full technical and competition details.

Paul Frere, an engineer, writer, and former top racing driver, rode practically every Porsche 911 model and was treated as if he were a member of the family by Porsche. At the age of 88, he completed the last update of his book, but sadly passed away in February 2008 at the age of 91. For the ninth edition, the torch is passed to Tony Dron, who mirrors Frere's particular qualities in so many ways that he is without a doubt the greatest writer to take on the duty of updating his prestigious book.
