Deborah Diesen is the New York Times bestselling author of The Pout-Pout Fish and The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark, which was selected one of Time Magazine's Ten Best Children's Books of 2008. Diesen was born and raised in Midland, Michigan, and began composing poetry at a young age. She's worked as a bookseller and a librarian, and currently works for a small nonprofit, but writing for children brings her the most delight. She resides in Grand Ledge, Michigan, with her family.
