Colin Harrison is Curator of British Paintings and Drawings and Curator of the Pissarro Family Archive at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. His previous publications include Turner's Oxford (2000), Samuel Palmer 1805-1881: Vision and Landscape (2005, joint author) and the Complete Illustrated Catalogue of Paintings in the Ashmolean Museum (2004, joint editor and author). Christopher Newall is a writer and art historian specialising in 19th-century British art who has curated numerous exhibitions of Pre-Raphaelite painting worldwide.
