Peter Joyce, a writer and editor based in Fish Hoek, Cape Town, acquired most of his professional experience in Zimbabwe, where he held senior positions with a magazine publishing company, a firm specializing in edited reprints of Africana works, and a general book publishing company. Later, he joined Reader's Digest in Cape Town to help launch their books division in South Africa, and as editor-in-chief was involved in the production of a number of well-received reference titles. A Cambridge graduate, Peter has written over 30 travel and leisure books, including Traveller's Guide to South Africa, This is Zimbabwe, and African Wildlife - A Visual Celebration.
