Arthur Janov, PhD, is a world-renowned psychologist and the founder and head of the Los Angeles-based Primal Center. He is the founder of primal therapy and has treated thousands of patients while conducting considerable research to back up his theory that early traumas can cause both physical and psychological problems. His work has been featured in films in England, France, Germany, Sweden, and the United States, and he has lectured at the Royal College of Medicine in London, Hunter College in New York, and the Karolinska Medical and Research Center in Stockholm. He has written ten books, the most famous of which being The Primal Scream, which has been translated into 24 languages. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
