Susan Crosland was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaperman. For thirteen years she was married to Anthony Crosland, who became a senior cabinet minister and was British Foreign Secretary at the time of his sudden death. She is the author of the celebrated biography, Tony Crosland, and has written three best-selling novels: Ruling Passions. Dangerous Games and The Magnates. She lives in London.
