The Professor by Charlotte Bronte
The first and least known of Charlotte Bronte's novels. It was one of the works by which the Bronte sisters hoped to achieve the status of published novelists, but it failed to find a publisher either then or during the author's lifetime. The novel was finally published by her widowed husband.-
