Psychological Warfare by Paul M A Linebarger

2022 Reprint of the 1954 edition. Exact facsimile of the original edition and not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. This illustrated history of the use of psychological warfare during World War II defines Psychological warfare as the use of propaganda against an enemy, together with such other operational measures of a military, economic, or political nature as may be required to supplement propaganda. The propaganda used in this type of warfare is military propaganda. It consists of the planned use of any form of communication designed to affect the minds and emotions of a given enemy, neutral or friendly foreign group for a specific strategic or tactical purpose. This profusely illustrated treatment on Psychological Warfare remains a valuable history of this important dimension of modern warfare.
