Psychometrics in Coaching by Jonathan Passmore

Psychometrics in Coaching: Using Psychological and Psychometric Tools for Development explains numerous models and concepts - e.g. emotional intelligence, transformational leadership - and how to use them effectively within coaching for both practitioners and students.
"This book fills an important gap in the coaching literaturePsychometric data figures increasingly in the background materials coachees bring to the learning alliance and the book provides valuable guidance on how to make safe, effective use of a wide range of instruments." Professor David Clutterbuck, Clutterbuck Associates "Executive coaches are increasingly aware that our observations are invariably biased, distorted and selective. While that is part of the charm and power of coaching, this textbook is invaluable in balancing our sometimes overly subjective perception." Erik de Haan, Director of Centre for Coaching, Ashridge Business School "A very timely book. Both coaching and psychometrics are fast growing areas. Psychometric test results help build the foundation on which effective coaching rests. Any coach should know this information." Professor John Rust, The Psychometrics Centre, University of Cambridge "The book is for those new and experience using psychometric tests, as well as students in psychology, psychometrics and human resources management." Sci Tech Book News "This book... is an invaluable addition to the growing number of books on coaching. Psychometrics in coaching is a must for those commissioning coaching, for coaches wishing to improve their knowledge of this area and for those studying leadership. The clear style makes it accessible for readers new to this area as well as being suitable for experienced practitioners - a useful book to add to the library." Coaching at Work "This book reflects both the spirit of the Association for Coaching and the diversity we embrace. Through its academic bias, our intention is to provide a number of instruments and theories to apply in practice, as the roll of psychometrics in coaching continues to grow." Kathrine Tulpa, Chair and Co-founder, Association for Coaching "Aimed at coaches, HR practitioners and those interested in self-development." Association for Coaching "This book provides an excellent overview to some of the key tests that can be used within coaching." From the Foreword, Professor Stephen Palmer, PhD "This book challenges coaches to consider which tests, if any, are appropriate and in what circumstances." Alun Harvey and Bob Little
