Pudge's Play by Hiawyn Oram
Pudge decides to put on a play with the help of his friends. They get suitably kitted out in home-made costumes and then all his friends get stage-fright and refuse to go on. It is left to Pudge to perform the whole play single-handed - which he does expertly.
Hiawyn Oram is a very popular, well-established author of many highly successful picture books. She began her working life in advertising. Hiawyn lives in London. Tim Warnes is the illustrator of the LITTLE TIGER books. He won the Nottinghamshire Book Award, the Dutch Library Association Award, and was shortlisted for the American Benjamin Franklyn Award for I DON'T WANT TO GO TO BED, text by Julie Sykes. Tim lives in Dorchester.
