Quantum Investing by Stephen R Waite
This is a book about investing in business and ideas that embrace quantum physics and quantum mechanics. Stephen Waite shows how these two areas are the next frontier of science, health and technology and that all of our best investment opportunities will be in products and companies that use these two areas of science and math. Waite argues that the nanotechnology revolution is the mother of all quantum revolutions. Nanotechnology has the potential to become to the 21st century what microelectronics was to the 20th century and it is already the apple of many investors' eyes. The book is organized into five chapters starting with the origins of quantum physics and mechanics, the change from classical physics and Newtonian laws to quantum mechanics.
Stephen Waite has spent the past twelve years working on Wall Street for several of the world's premier financial services firms. He is currently Managing Director and Chief Knowledge Officer of Trilogy Advisors, a New York City-based investment advisory firm with $4.6 billion under management. Previous to this, Waite was a Director at Credit Suisse Asset management; Senior Economist at Merrill Lynch & Co. and an Economist with Morgan Stanley & Co. and Comerica Bank. He has written extensively on global economic and financial market issues. His work has been published in several books and professional journals and has been cited in publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and Business Week. He received his masters degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. He is a frequent participant and speaker at the Sante Fe Institute. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and two children.
