Quiet Moments with God is a collection of poems that reflect how God has been part of my life experience. Family, nature, holidays, patriotism, church activities and friend are all topics included in this book.
I was born September 5, 1927 in Hitchins, Kentucky to Norman and Lottie Goodpaster Jackson, five minutes after my twin brother Lacy. My husband James and I have two daughters, seven grand children and three great-grand children. Family is dear to my heart and is a theme in many of my poems. I began writing poems after the death of my husband, and found inspiration in scripture, family, and all of God's creation. I thank God for the opportunity to tell of His greatness and to share my poetry with others.
