Peter Widdows spent fives years in the British Army before becoming a chartered accountant and joining food company Heinz, where he was the CEO responsible for East Asia and the Pacific. He has always had a passion for books, but it wasn’t until he left the corporate world that he finally found time to indulge his dream of writing novels; The Quiet War being his second. Born in Manchester, Peter has spent most of his adult life in other countries, including Australia, Germany and the USA.
