Rabbits Don't Lay Eggs! by Paula Metcalf
Rabbits don't belong in the farmyard. So it creates quite a stir when Rupert the rabbit pops up. He tries to make himself useful, but he can't cock-a-doodle-do like Cockerel, and when he tries to lay an egg like Dora the duck, it's a disaster! Luckily Rupert is good at digging, which soon leads to the most unexpected farm job of all . . . Rabbits Don't Lay Eggs! from Paula Metcalf and Cally Johnson-Isaacs, the creators of Charlie Crow in the Snow, is an egg-ceedingly funny farmyard caper. A chunky board book with a glittery cover, this is the perfect book for an Easter gift – or any time of the year!Paula Metcalf is a talented author and illustrator who was Highly Commended in the Macmillan Prize for Illustration 2003. She was previously Illustrator-in-Residence at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Buckinghamshire, and now runs popular workshops in schools. Her previous books for Macmillan include Charlie Crow in the Snow, also illustrated by Cally Johnson-Isaacs.
Cally Johnson-Isaacs has loved to draw ever since she first picked up a crayon. After graduating in Illustration from Newcastle Art College, Cally spent a few years illustrating greetings cards before becoming a freelance illustrator. Cally is also the illustrator of Charlie Crow in the Snow and the Mimi's Magical Fairy Friends series.
