Der wirtschaftliche Status der karibischen Frauen l sst sich nicht von den vorherrschenden sozialen Normen und Werten in Bezug auf ihre Verantwortung f r Haus und Familie trennen. Seit der Zeit der afrikanischen Sklaverei entsprechen die karibischen Familienformen nicht mehr dem europ ischen Ideal der Kernfamilie. Studien aus den 2000er Jahren zeigen, dass fast die H lfte der Haushalte von Frauen gef hrt wird. In vielen F llen sind die M glichkeiten und Anreize f r Frauen, ein Unternehmen zu gr nden, ung nstig, selbst wenn sie ber die entsprechenden F higkeiten und Kenntnisse verf gen. Eine Schlussfolgerung aus dieser Studie ist, dass das Ph nomen des finanziellen Bootstrapping in der k nftigen Forschung zur Finanzierung von Kleinunternehmen mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient. Diese Forschungsrichtung ist sowohl f r Wissenschaftler als auch f r Praktiker wichtig, da sie zu unserem Verst ndnis der Nutzung von Bootstrapping durch Unternehmerinnen beitr gt. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie lassen vermuten, dass Bootstrapping tats chlich mit dem Wachstum und der Entwicklung von Finanzierungsalternativen und dem Unternehmertum von Frauen in Trinidad und Tobago in Verbindung gebracht werden kann.

Ha Jaeyoun was born in 1975 in South Korea, and she received her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees in Korean literature from Koryo University. In addition to Radio Days, originally published in 2006, she has published two other poetry collections in Korean as well as many scholarly works on modern Korean poetry. She has previously been translated into English by Jake Levine in the collection Poems of Hwang Yuwon, Ha Jaeyoun, & Seo Dae-kyung.
Sue Hyon Bae was born in South Korea and received an MFA in poetry at Arizona State University. She is cotranslator of the poetry collection A Drink of Red Mirror by Kim Hyesoon and has published a collection of original poetry in English, Truce Country.
