Callie must catch the killer before Kansas City erupts in civil war. A civil war she inadvertently started. Before everyone decides to kill each other. Or worse yet, her.

But she's being stalked. By something unseen. More than one something... And with so many new faces coming to Missouri - gods, legends, and nightmares - Callie begins to realize it's all someone's sick idea of a game. And that Hell never really left Kansas City. Or Callie Penrose.

Shayne Silvers is a guy of mystery and might, with only his mystery surpassing his power. To put it another way, a storyteller. He is now working on the Nate Temple Supernatural Thriller Series, in which a foul-mouthed young magician with a chip on his shoulder tries to protect St. Louis from the different nasties from our childhood bedtime stories that we all know and fear. To make his point, Nate has been known to suckerpunch an Angel, cow-tip the Minotaur, and steal Death's steed.
