Paula Simmons is the coauthor of Storey's Guide to Raising Sheep and has been a recognised authority on sheep raising for over three decades. She has published many books and magazine articles on spinning wool and is the coauthor of Storey's Guide to Raising Sheep. Simmons gives talks and holds seminars on the subject of raising sheep and spinning wool for a living in the United States and Canada. She and her husband have been breeding and shearing sheep, as well as spinning and weaving wool, on their farm in Washington for over 20 years.
