The bright, colourful illustrations perfectly reflect the fact that Diwali is the festival of light and help bring the story to lifeThis book will be a great addition to my bookshelf at school. * K and O: Bonkers About Books *
The whole story is adorned by bursts of colour and energy by Christopher Corr. * The Irish Times *
Each double page is bright, full of colour and representative of the Diwali festival itself where colour is so significant. * Mamma Filz *
It is a text that will work well at home as a story or in the classroom. This is supported wonderfully by Corr's artwork, and his signature vibrant colour schemes are a perfect match to the dazzling colours of Indian culture and landscapes. * Library Mice *

Malachy Doyle lives in Ireland on a tiny island off the coast of Donegal, with his wife, cats, dogs, hens and ducks. Before writing children's books, he worked in advertising and as a teacher for children with special needs. He is the best-selling and award-winning author of many books, from picture books to teen fiction, including Georgie and Who is Jesse Flood? for older readers.

Christopher Corr studied art, graphics and illustration at art school in Manchester before completing his Masters at the Royal College in London. He loves old cities, particularly ones where old meets new such as New York, Delhi, Shanghai and Berlin. Colour is important to Christopher and he is fascinated by how it affects people.
