RAPUNZEL by David Roberts
Poor Rapunzel can only dream about the world outside: her Aunt Edna keeps her locked up in their home. The lifts don't work and Aunt Edna is too lazy to take the stairs, so she uses Rapunzel's extraordinarily long hair to climb in and out of their small flat. Rapunzel's life is confined, until one day, when a handsome stranger climbs up her hair.
Lynn Roberts studied theology and publishing. She has written poems and rhyming stories for children, illustrated by her brother David. Lynn lives in Liverpool with her brother's two cats, Oberon and Eugene, who refused to move to London. Lynn has also collaborated with her brother on Cinderella and Little Red (shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Award). Fashion illustrator David Roberts was born in Liverpool and studied fashion before moving to Hong Kong to work as a fashion illustrator. David now lives and works in south London where, when not drawing, he likes to make hats. David's Little Red was shortlisted for the 2006 Kate Greenaway Award.
