The Ravens of Blackwater by Ae Marston
When Wistan sees his father beaten to death by Guy FitzCorbucion, he swears that he will avenge his father's murder. When Guy's body is found hideously mutilated, his family begin baying for the blood of Wistan, but investigators Gervase and Ralph realize it is not as straightforward as it seems.
A former history lecturer, Edward Marston was born and brought up in South Wales and educated at Oxford University. Since 1966 he has worked as a full-time writer, and has written over forty original plays for radio, television and theatre, as well as children s books, literary criticism and novels.
