Raw Foods for Busy People by Jordan Maerin
Enjoy and prepare simple raw foods, the healthiest foods nature has to offer, while living a busy lifestyle. This book is perfect for raw food beginners, busy people, health-conscious slackers, and those on temporary cleansing programs. It makes a great gift for the raw-curious as well, since it is the simplest and least intimidating raw food recipe book on the market. It includes over 120 recipes, almost half of which are or include machine-free options.
Jordan Maerin grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Vegetarian since the age of 15, she became an accomplished chef both personally and professionally. Jordan discovered the amazing health benefits of raw foods at the age of 36, and has since enjoyed a physical and spiritual renaissance. For several months in 2004, she operated a gourmet raw foods delivery service in San Diego, which led to the penning of the book, Raw Foods for Busy People. In addition, she worked for David Wolfe and Thor Bazler for two years at Sunfood Nutrition (then Nature's First Law). From 2007-2008, she was able to sell prepared raw foods in a restaurant environment while working at Nature's Wisdom in Idyllwild, California. Jordan Maerin is a raw food enthusiast, writer and nature lover living in Seattle, Washington.
