Reading the Landscape by Peter Watson

Tackles the often delicate process of interpreting and capturing landscapes in photography. This book challenges us to transform our gaze from that of the casual observer to a skilled artist 'painting with light'.
Peter is a contributing photographer to several image libraries and his work appears extensively in books, magazines and calendars, as well as on greeting cards and in exhibitions. As well as landscapes, Peter undertakes commissioned work for clients, primarily architectural photography. He has written several other books including two for GMC: Light in the Landscape – a Photographer’s Year (2001) and The Field Guide to Landscape Photography (2002); three for Photographers’ Institute Press: Capturing the Light (2005), Reading the Landscape (2009) and Seasons of Landscape (2010); and two for Ammonite Press: Views Across the Landscape (2013) and Composition in the Landscape (2014).
