Reading Up a Storm by Eva Gates

After a party at Bodie Island's Lighthouse Library, librarian Lucy Richardson is ready to curl up with her cat and a good book. But her reading is cut short when she notices a small boat crash into the coast, led by some mysterious lights on the shore. The two shipwrecked seafarers survive the ordeal, but one of them shows up dead ashore a few days later. Lucy finds herself again roped into a murder investigation: navigating a sea of suspects, all of whom have a motive. She has a feeling that finding the killer won't be easy.

Eva Gates began her writing career as a Sunday writer, while still working full-time as a computer programmer and being a single mother of three energetic girls. She is the author of several books under the name Vicki Delany, including the Klondike Mystery series and the Smith and Winters series. Eva is a Canadian citizen.
