Roy Norris started his teaching career in Selby, North Yorkshire, where he taught French and German.Then he moved to Madrid and a career in ELT. He has been working with International House, as teacher, teacher-trainer and at one point Cambridge Examinations Co-ordinator. Roy has written Ready for FCE (2001),Ready for CAE (2004) and Straightforward Advanced (2008), and co-written Direct to FCE (2011). Amanda French began her career in English language teaching as the dictation teacher and then completed DTEFLA (Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults). She is a CELTA assessor and has written CAE, BEC and IELTS papers, CAE Testbuilder and contributed to the Ready for CAE Workbook and KET Testbuilder.
