Lester Sumrall (1913-1996), a world-renowned pastor and evangelist, ministered in more than 110 countries over the course of a century and a half, including Soviet Siberia, Russia, Tibet, and China. In addition, he wrote over 130 books. His evangelical association (LeSEA) continues to actively disseminate God's Word from its headquarters in South Bend, Indiana. Dr. Sumrall's goal was to raise a million sheep for God's kingdom, and the ministry is still working toward that goal. The LeSEA ministry includes outreach efforts such as World Harvest Bible College, a Bible college that teaches by audio and several publications.

Sumrall also founded LeSea Broadcasting, which owns and operates Christian television stations, a local radio station, and a short-wave radio station, all with the goal of lifting millions of people into the sky.
