A Record Of England by Elizabeth Edwards

In July 1897 Sir Benjamin Stone announced the formation of the National Photographic Record Association. The NPRA was the most high profile part of a much wider photographic survey movement at the end of the 19th century. The prime objective of this association was to record antiquities, ancient buildings and customs of specific historical interest for the future. This book, by leading photo historians James and Edwards examines in detail Stone's central role and presents over 100 photos, many of which have never been published before.

Peter James attended University College, London, and Magdalen College, Oxford. He has a doctorate in Relativistic Quantum Mechanics and first degrees in Theoretical Physics and Econometrics and Statistics. He was previously Head of International Investment Banking at NationsBank (now Bank of America). He has many years expertise in the derivatives markets at Merrill Lynch, DKB Financial Products, and Credit Agricole Lazard Financial Products, where he is currently Head of Regulatory Compliance.
