Read to Me! a Moonbeam Award Winner was selected by the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation to distribute to children at risk for illiteracy and help build home libraries along with her two newest titles. Chris's latest children's book Spring is Coming! is being distributed to victims of Hurricane Harvey and beyond to rebuild personal libraries and bring hope for brighter days ahead.

Born in Colorado, Chris has traveled and lived throughout the US and internationally. Now a Houston resident, she enjoys being outdoors, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband have two grown sons.
