Vater, Kelvin: - Kelvin Vater was born in the village of Llanddewi Rhydderch in South Wales and has lived there all his life. He attended the local village school and King Henry VIII Grammar School, before studying agriculture at Aberystwyth. He worked in farming for a short while before teaching for over 30 years at Usk Agricultural College. He is now retired and enjoying working at home again. His only foray into writing previously has been poems for family occasions such as weddings and birthday parties. Jantien Powell. is a farmer's daughter. Originally from Mamhilad near Pontypool, she has lived and worked in Abergavenny for nearly 40 years. Jantien paints what she loves - the Welsh mountains, the coast, the hill farms and their inhabitants. She works in a range of medium and her ever evolving style centres around colour and pattern. This book is her first foray into the world of illustration. Jantien's work is shown at several galleries and she holds two exhibitions per year at Chapel Cottage Studio near Abergavenny, where she lives, works and teaches a range of friendly art classes for all abilities. www.chapelcottagestudio.co.uk www.jantienart.co.uk
