Reluctant Heiress by Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones grew up in the North East of England and has always enjoyed adventure, whether it was riding in the countryside around her hometown of Stockton-on-Tees or exploring the North Yorkshire Moors. Her father quizzed her on capital cities when she was small, fostering an interest in various countries and cultures (as well as the valuable information that Madrid was, in fact, Spain's capital). She lived in France and Chile for the first few years of her life while studying French and Spanish at Durham University. Jessica fell in love with Madrid's laid-back lifestyle and wonderful patio and tapas culture after relocating to the city in 2014 to work as a journalist covering Spanish news, travel, and features for a British and international audience. With outlets such as the i newspaper, The Telegraph, BBC Travel, Momondo, and Culture Trip, she has covered many of the most important recent news and travel stories in Spain.

Jessica enjoys visiting Madrid and beyond at her spare time, from marveling at the great masters in Madrid's Prado Museum to checking out the latest street art in Barcelona's Gràcia neighborhood. She is a passionate foodie who enjoys visiting markets, traditional tapas bars, and hidden gastronomic gems.
