Bob Willoughby (1927-2009), the photographer, shot his first photograph when he was twelve years old. His displays of jazz musicians and dancers resulted in a contract with Globe Pictures in 1954, followed by work at Harper's Bazaar. He became the first unit photographer, hired particularly by movie studios to snap on-set promotional stills, after photographing Judy Garland during the filming of A Star is Born. He was the author of various photography publications and spent his latter years in Vence, France.
